The Ursulines in Quimperlé

Excerpts from the Archives

The Ursulines of Quimperlé, in England during that time, learned on February 17, 1920 in a circular letter from Rome, the news of the beatification of the Ursuline Martyrs of Valenciennes.

On February 18, 1920, they decided to send 100 Francs to Saint-Saulve, in order to help pay the expenses.

On June 13, 1920, they, were united to the celebrations occurring in Rome. Here is their schedule :
• 10 a.m :, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, in honor of the Beatification.
• 12h, The Te Deum is sung in Chapel. They talk during the two meals.
• 5 :30 p.m. : Office, prayer, benediction. We say our evening prayer after singing a hymn (a very long one). It was 7 p.m. time for supper.
• At the Boarding School, Mothers and Sisters are there fpr a prayer to the Ursulines of Valenciennes. It was long ; out to bed at 9:20 p.m.

A big thank you to the community of Quimperlé for this sharing.
We would really like to know which hymn was sung on that day !
